2. What This Extension Does
Privacy Blur for Slack blurs sensitive content (messages, sender names, channel lists, and media) on Slack Web during screen sharing, video calls, and presentations. It operates entirely client-side within your browser.
3. Data We Collect
We collect minimal data:

We do NOT collect:
- Slack message content — we cannot read your messages
- Sender names, channel names, or any text content
- Browsing history or page URLs
- Screenshots or screen recordings
- Any personally identifiable information
- Slack message content, workspace details, or browsing activity in analytics
4. What Leaves Your Browser
Slack content stays local. The extension operates client-side. Its external communication is limited to:
- Anonymous product analytics: An analytics provider receives a random ID, event name and properties, and extension version. This never includes Slack message content, names, workspace details, URLs, or browsing history.
- Payment processing: When you choose to upgrade, a payment provider handles payment-related details. We do not see your full card number.
- Browser sync: If enabled by your browser, your preferences may sync across your browsers through the browser's built-in sync feature.
No Slack data or message content is transmitted to our analytics, payment, or service providers.

7. Data Retention & Deletion
- Preferences: stored in browser storage and deleted when you uninstall the extension or clear extension data
- Anonymous analytics events: retained only as reasonably necessary for product improvement and reliability
- Payment records: retained by payment providers under their applicable policies
- We retain no Slack content or server-side profile about you
To delete all data: uninstall the extension. All local data is immediately removed.
8. Children's Privacy
This extension is not intended for users under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 in the EU (GDPR). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Security
- Slack content remains client-side; only limited anonymous usage information is sent as described above
- Payment details are handled by payment providers
- Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information
- Content script only runs on *.slack.com — no access to other sites
- Extension code is open for inspection (no obfuscation)
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the extension's update notes and by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
