Terms of Service — EmailSubjectScore Pro

1. Acceptance

By installing or using EmailSubjectScore Pro ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, uninstall the Extension.

2. Description of Service

EmailSubjectScore Pro is a Chrome extension that scores email subject lines on spam likelihood, clarity, and urgency, and offers AI-powered rewrite suggestions inside Gmail compose.

3. Free and Paid Tiers

  • Free tier: 50 subject scores per month (10 per day). No account required.
  • Pro tier: Unlimited scores, AI rewrite suggestions with tone control. Requires Google sign-in and paid subscription.
    • We reserve the right to modify tier limits at any time.

    4. Acceptable Use

    You agree NOT to:
  • Use automated tools to bypass rate limits or free-tier caps
  • Reverse-engineer the scoring algorithm or API
  • Use the Extension for bulk email spam generation
  • Resell access to the Extension's API
  • Submit content that violates applicable laws

    • 4A. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GoldenLeaf Apps and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Extension, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

    5. AI-Generated Content

    Rewrite suggestions are generated by AI (GPT-4.1-mini via Azure OpenAI). You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated subject lines before sending. We do not guarantee that AI suggestions will improve email deliverability or open rates. AI-generated suggestions are clearly labeled in the interface per EU AI Act transparency requirements.

    6. Intellectual Property

  • The Extension and its code are owned by GoldenLeaf Apps
  • Subject lines you compose are yours — we claim no ownership
  • AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is for your use; no copyright claim is made on AI outputs

    Subscription billing

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout
  • Prices are in USD

    • Refund policy

  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion

    • Cancellation

  • Cancel anytime via the subscription management portal
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No cancellation fees

    • Auto-renewal disclosure (California BPC 17602)

  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the same rate unless canceled
  • We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before renewal
  • Cancel anytime; no penalty

    9. Disclaimers

    THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:
  • Accuracy of spam, clarity, or urgency scores
  • That AI rewrite suggestions will improve email performance
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with future Gmail updates

    • Force Majeure

    We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: cloud service outages (Azure, OpenAI), internet disruptions, natural disasters, government actions, or changes to third-party APIs or policies.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Extension is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.

    11. Dispute Resolution

    Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada, under the rules of the ADR Institute of Canada. Class actions are waived to the extent permitted by law. For EU users: this clause does not affect your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law.

    12. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes via in-extension banner or updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, uninstall the Extension.

    13. Termination

    We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate by uninstalling the Extension. Upon termination, your right to use the Extension ceases immediately.

    15. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

    16. Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

    17. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GoldenLeaf Apps regarding use of the Extension, and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
