Terms of Service — Amrita Chat Widget

1. Agreement
By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. The service
The App adds a shopper-facing floating chat button to your Shopify storefront and an admin page to enable and configure it. The button opens links to WhatsApp, Messenger, Email, or Phone based on channels you enable and information you provide. We may update, improve, or change features over time.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact information you configure (phone numbers, usernames, email addresses) and for monitoring and responding to messages that reach you through those channels. The App does not send, receive, or store messages — it only opens links to third-party messaging platforms.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the App: no reverse engineering except as permitted by law, no interfering with its operation or security, no unlawful use, no use that infringes others' rights, and no use of the App to facilitate spam or harassment.
5. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the App and its code, design, and content. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for your store while these Terms are in effect.
6. Third-party platforms
The App runs on Shopify and depends on Shopify and other infrastructure providers. The chat channels (WhatsApp, Messenger, Email, Phone) are operated by third parties (Meta, your email provider, your telephone carrier). We aren't responsible for those third parties or for changes they make.
7. Warranty disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your store, your use of the App, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end the App or your access if you breach these Terms or as needed to comply with law or platform policies.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll change the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, note it in the App listing. Continued use means you accept the changes.
