Summary

Privacy Blur for Discord does not collect, store, or transmit any of your Discord messages, contacts, files, or personal data. The extension runs in your browser on discord.com. Discord content stays local.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Message content, usernames, or server names
• Files, images, videos, or media shared in Discord
• Your Discord credentials or account details
• Browsing history or activity outside of discord.com
• Any personally identifiable information (PII)

Data We Store Locally

The following is stored in browser storage and, where enabled by your browser, may sync across your browsers:

• Your blur zone preferences (which zones are enabled or disabled)
• Blur intensity settings
• Panel position (stored in localStorage)
• Trial start timestamp

Analytics

We collect minimal, anonymous usage events (for example, “extension installed” and “zone toggled”) through an analytics provider to understand which features are used. These events contain:

• A random anonymous ID (not linked to your identity)
• Event name and basic properties (for example, which zone was toggled)
• Extension version

We do not collect any Discord content, URLs, usernames, or anything that could identify you or your contacts.

Payments

Premium features are processed by a payment provider. We never see or store your full payment card details.

Permissions

• storage: Save your blur preferences across sessions
• host_permissions (discord.com): Inject the blur overlay on Discord only

Third-Party Services

• Analytics providers (anonymous product usage)
• Payment providers (subscription billing)

Retention

Local preferences are stored until you uninstall the extension or clear browser data. Anonymous analytics events are retained only as reasonably necessary for product improvement and reliability.

Rights

You can delete all local data by uninstalling the extension. To request deletion of analytics data, contact us at hello@amrita-labs.com.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
